Kyungsung University (경성대학교) was founded in 1955 by Reverend Kim Gil-chang. It was originally established as Kyungnam Teachers College, later renamed Pusan Industrial University in 1979, and officially became Kyungsung University in 1988. Since then, the university has continuously strived to provide the best services for international students.
With the motto “Truth – Volunteerism – Freedom,” Kyungsung University aims to “pursue truth and contribute to society.” With nearly 1,500 international students, it has the highest number of international student enrollments among private universities in Busan and has been highly recognized by the Korean government for its international student management since January 2014.
The university offers more than 60 majors taught by around 420 distinguished faculty members. Currently, it has approximately 13,000 students and maintains partnerships with over 150 universities worldwide.
